Tutorial 1 - TV Whitespace Technology for Remote Communications

- Television Whitespace Technology (TVWS) is an access
innovation which has properties very different to microwave
linking bands, and can enable near- and non-line-of-sight
communications, allowing connectivity to villages that have
never before had broadband. This brief talk will discuss
the technology, the radio spectrum,
and some case studies of how TVWS has been considered and used
to deliver broadband, including the regulatory challenges and
equipment development.

Tutorial 2 - Investigating DNS Abuse/Misuse for Law
Enforcement Agents

- This workshop exposes agents to strategies, techniques and
tools that infosec professionals use to identify abuses of the
Domain Name System (DNS), malicious registrations of domain
names, addresses or hosting. Through a combination of lecture,
demonstration, and hands-on exercises, attendees will learn how
to collect information that will be needed to further
investigate criminal activity. The tutorial will cover the

DNS
